This is a universal gasket type with a flat surface that has long been used.
The basic thickness is 1 to 3 mm. It is applicable to partitions of a complex structure as well. Graphite may be attached to the upper and lower parts of the gasket on both sides.
The flat metal gasket can be used from low to high pressure and from low to high temperature. Sufficient mount pressure is required. Low mount pressure may cause leakage. The hardness shall be at least 30 HB lower than that of the flange.
